ACSR bare conductors are used for overhead high tension power transmission lines having long spans. Aluminum-clad steel wire has the advantages of the good tensile strength of steel and the good conductivity of aluminum,and has much better anti-corrosion performance than zinc-coated steel wire,as well as the good thermal resistance.
